AI in Medical Education Administration: What’s Changing and How to Prepare Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the way medical education administrators work. From drafting policies and communications to managing data, supporting accreditation, preparing presentations, and improving day-to-day workflows, AI tools are creating new opportunities while also raising important questions about accuracy, privacy, ethics, and appropriate use. This panel will bring together perspectives from medical education and administration to explore what these changes mean for GME professionals today. Panelists will discuss how AI is already being used, where it can have the greatest practical impact, common concerns and barriers to adoption, and why human judgment remains essential. The discussion will also provide an introduction to the AI in Medical Education Administration course, a six-week live virtual program designed specifically for GME leaders, program administrators, coordinators, and medical education staff. Participants will learn how to use AI to improve routine administrative work, support data and documentation needs, strengthen communication and meetings, create presentations and educational materials, assist with recruitment and branding, and develop ethical and compliant AI workflows. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how AI is reshaping medical education administration, practical examples of what is possible today, and a roadmap for building the skills needed to use these tools responsibly and effectively.
