Who guides Boston AI Week
A board of founders, investors, and operators with deep ties to the Massachusetts innovation economy — spanning venture capital, enterprise technology, startups, and place-based partners.
Meet the boardThe convening layer for everyone building, funding, researching, and applying AI across Massachusetts — anchored by a core festival week, Sept 24 – Oct 2, 2026. Sept 24 – Oct 2 is the core festival week — official events run across Massachusetts before, during, and after.
Projected for 2026, building on 125+ events and 15,000+ participants across 23 days in 2025.
01 — Origin
"Massachusetts shouldn't experience AI as scattered conferences and disconnected meetups."
Boston AI Week grew out of a simple conviction: the talent, capital, research, and institutions are all here — denser than almost anywhere on earth — but they rarely move as one.
So we built a platform instead of a conference. Hundreds of organizations — startups, enterprises, universities, investors, labs, community groups, cultural institutions, and public-sector partners — host their own events. We organize them into a single, unified calendar.
For nine days, the Commonwealth's AI ecosystem operates as one connected network: from the Seaport to Kendall Square, and from Worcester to Springfield.
02 — Mission
Accelerate responsible AI adoption and develop AI talent at scale — by connecting the people who build AI with the institutions that make Massachusetts work.
Companies · Universities · Investors · Government
03 — Scale
From 125 events in 2025 to a focused nine-day window in 2026 — projected to more than double in both events and participants.
04 — Program
Boston AI Week spans the full stack of the ecosystem — every format, every audience, every corner of the Commonwealth.

05 — 2026 Theme
A focus on applied AI: how organizations put it to work in core operations, and how communities experience it in education, culture, healthcare, and everyday work.

Meet the board07 — Founder
Boston AI Week was founded and is produced by Judah Phillips, who also serves as Board Chair. It grew out of years of community-building in Massachusetts AI — including the Boston Generative AI Meetup — and the belief that the region's ecosystem is stronger when it convenes as one.
