About

It's 1952 Again: The Missing Compiler for AI Pipelines Composable AI Pipelines by Maksym Kotliar AI orchestration in 2026 looks a lot like programming in 1952: hand-tuned prompts, model-specific quirks, and all the bookkeeping left to the developer. Programming solved this problem once, with the compiler. Maksym Kotliar will walk through why the same fix applies to AI pipelines, and how MacPaw built one. In this talk: ⚪ — Why swapping AI models still means rewriting your orchestration code, and what that has in common with programming before FORTRAN ⚪ — Composable Pipelines, a Swift DSL where you declare what a step should do and let the runtime decide how ⚪ — How a single macOS process can serve every AI app on the machine, loading local models once and sharing the GPU Open source, Apache 2.0: github.com/MacPaw/ComposablePipelines 🎯 After the talk, stay for an informal meetup over snacks, coffee and soft drinks. A chance to keep talking about on-device AI with the speakers and the other builders in the room. Agenda: 🎤 5:30 – 6:15 PM: Talk on Composable pipelines + audience Q&A 💬 6:15 – 8:00 PM: meetup & networking
