MIT Future Fest — Day 2: Systems in Flux

Hosted by MIT Future Fest (MIT Museum, MIT Technology Review & MIT Morningside Academy for Design)

Thursday, October 1, 2026

10:00 AM–9:00 PM ET

About

Part of MIT Future Fest, the inaugural five-day festival where MIT opens its doors to the world — more than 50 events across campus spanning immersive exhibitions, open laboratories, public talks, and unexpected performances, presented by the MIT Museum, MIT Technology Review, and the MIT Morningside Academy for Design. One festival pass covers all five days. Session times vary; the full program launches August 17 at mitfuturefest.org/program. The day starts in the body with sunrise movement and guided walks across campus, then expands into conversations on the systems that sustain our world — climate scientists, health researchers, and AI thinkers on what's changing and what it takes to act. Future Labs open for hands-on research encounters, workshops dive into coastal resilience and ocean worldbuilding, and the evening turns to performance, salon, and speculative storytelling.
